Cash Insurance Scheme Launched
24/04/2012
Summit has further expanded its innovative product portfolio, adding to it's existing offering to retailers and armoured car companies following the launch of an insurance scheme that provides against the potential loss of cash within their businesses.
The product provides the retailer and its armoured car company with an insurance against the potential loss (or damage) of cash that is contained within cash security equipment. already leased via Summit.
Insurance is available for those customers that lease cash security equipment directly from Summit under one of our GAAP compliant operating lease agreements, or acquired via an armoured car company that partners with Summit.
The offering is typically provided as part of a lease for "smart safes" that contain note validators and coin sorters.
It has already been successfully launched in the United Kingdom, where it is being offered commercially, and it is now being introduced in the United States.
