Summit has launched it's second 2009 investment fund to provide additional debt and equity investment capacity for the UK and North American markets.

Summit has launced the second of its SQN Alternative Investment funds. The launch of the second asset backed fund will provide Summit with additional facilities that will enable us to further increase its credit capacity at a time when businesses are experiencing difficulty in obtaining access to capital for equipment leases and for residual/equity investments.
Summit launched the first of its Alternative Investment funds in 2008, prior to the onset of the current recession, and we have been successfully using them to provide alternative funding lines for clients since the markets tightened in the Summer of 2008.
So far the revenues raised from the investment funds have been used to provide facilities for exisiting clients, continuing to allow them to aquire those assets critical to their businesses and also to support demand from new customers looking for credit capacity in Summit's core medical, technology and environmental asset utilising sectors, both in the United Kingdom and in North America.
Given demand so far, it is envisioned that Summit will launch a further fund later this year.
