Having identified a funding gap in the US marketplace Summit, operating in partnership with its SQN Alternative Investment Funds and its strategic partner SGFL, has entered the Intermediate Bulk Container (“IBC”) market, funding a series of operating lease transactions within the United States. IBC units are used for the storage and transportation of a mixture of dry goods and bulk liquids and are generally acquired by mature businesses to replace a mixture of wooden and cardboard units that have traditionally been used. IBCs are used across the US and world economies.
The transactions funded so far are for compliant long funding operating leases, written with corporate entities seeking either to re-equip with IBC units, or to expanding existing IBC fleets.
Units have been funded for use on both the US East and West coasts with the total value of the units funded so far exceeding $24m USD in invoice value.
